Dental Assistant graduates receive a certificate and are prepared to become a Registered Dental Assistant. A Registered Dental Assistant must first pass the Texas State Board of Dental Examiner's Registered Dental Assistant Exam. The Exam includes sections on Radiology, Jurisprudence and Infection Control. Our program and study guides are designed to help you pass the exam. These subjects are covered using class room instruction and practical hands-on training with the equipment, instrumentation, and materials used in a state of the art practicing dental office.

Effective 09/01/06, to apply to become a registered dental assistant, a student must complete a mandatory short course approved by The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. An approved provider list can be found on the TSBDE website at: https://tsbde.texas.gov/. By law a dental assistant must register with the TSBDE in order to take X-rays at a dental office.
